MARK C. CARLSON (Mark) was born in Rockford, Illinois on April 19, 1955. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi College in 1977, and his Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law in 1981. In law school, he was a member of Phi Alpha Theta and associate editor of the Mississippi College Law Review. After law school, he served as law clerk to the Chief U. S. District Judge for the Southern District of Mississippi. He has served as Adjunct Professor of Law for the Mississippi College School of Law. He is a member of the Mississippi State and Hinds County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. In addition to having tried cases for over twenty years, he has lectured various professional groups in the areas of trial practice, medical negligence and general liability.  Mr. Carlson's practice is one of general litigation matters with an emphasis on hospital defense, medical malpractice, general litigation in both state and federal court.
